Short duration English language courses tailored to the needs of Japanese travellers and Japanese language school

inhabitants, freedom from crime and the world famous Marlborough College.
1. Lunch in PollyTea Rooms followed by Marlborough orientation tour.

2. Windsor in Berkshire, location of Windsor Castle, royal residence and Eton College.

3. City of Bath, World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, museums, art galleries, tea
room, pump room, Roman Baths, shopping. Enormous choice for lunch.

4. Lacock village and the Fox Talbot Museum. This village is especially beautiful and Lacock Abbey is where the
first ever photograph was taken.

5. Stonehenge, world heritage site.

6. Salisbury Cathedral and city. If at all possible we will attempt to coincide the visit with choir practice.

7.Swindon Designer Outlet Village. Designer label shopping at a discount.

8. Wiltshire villages bordering the River Avon. Thatched cottages are a particular characteristic of these villages.

9. Stourhead House Gardens. An enchanting National Trust property, the gardens are in the Arcadian design started
in 1741 by Henry Hoare. This is some distance from Marlborough and will require an earlier start, perhaps a picnic
lunch.

10. A visit to the market town of Devizes A very 'ordinary' English town Devizes has lots of interesting shops, coffee
houses and a market.

11. Avebury Prehistoric Stone Circle, a World Heritage site and Silbury Hill.

12. A visit to Tetbury which is a delightful town in its own right but made famous by its association with the Royal
Family
and Highgrove House.

learning process and will afford opportunities for students to interact with ordinary local people. The list is far from
comprehensive but proviedes a flavour of what Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire have to offer.
